In March of 2016 the owner of Barrett Made, Rob Barrett became a partner in the purchase of the Hammond Heirs building on Congress Street in Portland's Arts District. As a member of a small group of investors (Hammond Heirs LLC), Rob's ownership in the building means big things for Barrett Made. We will be the general contractor for renovation projects moving forward in the building, including a complete remodel of several of the building's 14 apartments, and a complete rehab of the space formerly known as Paul's Food Center. The Paul's space was sold out of the Hammond Heirs, LLC to another investor in the project- the owners of the Portland Flea For All. The complete overhaul of the Paul's space will be completed in the Fall of 2016 and will be the new home of the Flea For All. The entire process of forming the investor group and purchasing the building took several pain staking months but have resulted in a life long dream- to own a piece of historic Portland, which happens to provide months of work for Barrett Made. Its a win win for all involved, and for Portland. Bruce Hourigan will be the Project Manager. Look for the Barrett Made van on Congress Street in the coming months!
